Almost forty years later, we are still providing quality, structured, educational programs for children in the community. We operate as a non-profit, non-sectarian organization, and enroll without regard to creed, national origin, race, religious preference or sex.
The Center opened with fifteen children in 1973. Today, we have over forty children enrolled. What started out almost forty years ago as a program that offered child care services, has now become an academic program offering Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classes for children eighteen months through five years old.
At St. Luke's, we strive to provide an environment that allows the "whole child" to develop: emotionally, physically, cognitively, and mentally. We encourage children to be creative and responsible beings so that they can develop into healthy, responsible individuals.
Our goal is to provide parents with a warm, caring environment for their most precious possessions. We give the children love and nurturing we would expect others to give our own children. We mend boo boos, nurse sicknesses and give hugs to comfort as needed. We foster an atmosphere of mutual respect, trust and open, honest communication for all families within the center.
